Tuesday 20th November | 7.00pm | University of London Union, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HY

The London International Transgender Day of Remembrance Ceremony will be held for the first time on a weekday, on the first floor of the ULU building in Malet Street, Bloomsbury.

All are welcome to this respectful and somewhat sombre event. This year we are looking for trans people to speak and perform, and in particular we are looking for trans people who can speak some Portuguese (and also Spanish) to read out the list of names. This is because the majority of recorded murders of trans people occur in Latin America, and we would like to show them the respect of pronouncing their names as correctly as possible.

The first part of the event will be about remembering our dead and the second part will be about celebrating the lives of trans people. There will be a bar with nibbles afterwards. This year this event is a collaboration between Translondon, Birkbeck College SU, Camden LGBT Forum and the University of London Union.
