Camden and Islington LGBT History Month 2014 call out
LGBT History Month is in its 9th year and occurs throughout the UK each February. Next year’s theme is Music. This provides limitless opportunities to engage with your LGBT communities and with music as the theme the possible events are endless.
Camden LGBT Forum is seeking once again to create the largest programme of events in the UK right here in Camden and Islington. History Month is a great way of reaching out to new audiences as well as showing support for the LGBT population.
You may wish to run a lively discussion, put on something fun, run a campaign or open up your service with a specialist LGBT theme. Past events include film days at museums, art exhibitions in hospitals and panel discussions on current LGBT affairs. From big movers (Arsenal, British Museum and UCL) to small and bold shakers (local businesses, schools, libraries and community groups) we will ensure you get all the support you need in making your event a success. Although Music and History is the theme this does not mean your event has to be musical! However putting on something musical and/or historical will earn you brownie points!
If you would like to take part or fancy a chat about running an event in the Camden and Islington Boroughs, please contact the Forum as soon as possible to receive your History Month registration form.
