CLEF will reconvene later in the year 2012. Watch this space for details of when or see STOP PRESS!!
Camden LGBT Evening of Frolics (CLEF) runs at the Cellar Bar, The Constitution, Camden Town. And its FREE! And definately ALL WELCOME!
Our aim is to bring people together in a safe, yet social environment and to showcase some great LGB and or T performers! So come down to our next event and meet some great new faces. You can also meet volunteers and members of the Forum to find out more about what we do.
We opened in July with a raffle and BBQ and guaged what you, our people wanted. In August we had the amazing Vinyl Closet performing. On September the 20th, the remarkable C N Lester performed much of their own material as well as pieces they have been inspired by. October saw the popular lesbian comics Rosie Wilby and Julie Jepsom bringing over 40 people to tears of laughter.
In November, the fabulous Catherine Brogan (winner of the BBC Edinburgh Fringe Poetry Slam 2011 and host of Incite! poetry) performed a set of outstanding and witty poetry, followed by Holly Hayes with her extraordinary musical set (Holly also works with maths, the internet, music and words )
December saw the last CLEF evening until after History month- there was an open cabaret and performance from members of the audience followed by an amazing set from Jules Phoenix and Remy F.)
Come and join us for an evening of frivolity, drinks and fun. Meet other LGBT people from Camden and find out about Camden LGBT Forum’s plans for exciting future events
Please note; the bar is partially accessible from the canal entrance but only after 7pm.
Upcoming: Calling Acts for DIY Cabaret!!
On December the 13th we are planning a DIY Cabaret. Anyone can get involved. Whether you are a veteran performer, or a complete novice, why not come and perform your own set! Have you allways wanted to do stand-up? Sing? Perform a sketch? Show us your musical talent? Anything goes – think of it as a Revue……….
If you are interested please contact our administrator via email@example.com ( with ‘cabaret’ in the subject line) by the 21st of November at the latest. And at the very least we expect you in the audience to show your support to such great talent!
The Cellar Bar is downstairs in The Constitution Pub. It’s an old bar situated on the Camden Lock. It has a great garden and lively atmosphere.
The bar is partially accessible from the canal entrance but only after 7pm.
